Today’s supercool wedding comes to us from talented Yorkshire wedding photographer, John Hope.
Helen & Thomas’ wedding the cruck barn, located behind the Craven Arms in Appletreewick was a relaxed, rustic event on a beautifully sunny day with some brilliantly original details. As Helen says, “We just wanted everybody to have a fun and relaxed time.”
What more could you ask for?!
The couple met while they were still in school and, after eight years together, Thomas proposed at the top of Malham Cove as the sun went down.
Helen’s gorgeous dress was a Sottero Midgley design, purchased from The Bridal Boutique in Guiseley.
The informal, spring flowers were from The Hedgerow in Threshfield and fit perfectly were the barn location.
The bridesmaids dresses, which Helen admits were her biggest challenge to get just right, were custom-made at From This Day Forward, allowing each bridesmaid to have their own unique dress.
The wedding stationery was all designed by Thomas, who’s a graphic designer, and the oh-so-cool wedding tea towels made for a fun keepsake.
Their reception venue was chosen because the couple loved the open fires, proper ale and high thatched roof of the cruck barn and they didn’t want to have too much decoration as the barn had its own natural beauty already. They did, however have some amazing little details….
After researching Wedding Photographers in Yorkshire they opted for John Hope for his relaxed, documentary style. These photos prove they chose well 🙂
Big thanks to Helen & Thomas for letting us share such a great wedding, and thanks to John Hope for the fantastic photos.
