Before there can be a wedding, first there must be a proposal and of course they have to say yes! In order to arrive at the perfect fairytale ending you have to write a flawless first chapter… and this is where The Proposers come in. You know you want to pop the question but you don’t know where or how and The Proposers will help inspire you, spur you on and make your proposal an extra special event in its own right. Proposal Planners Tiffany and Daisy tell us all about it.

The Proposers is a business that helps guys (or girls) propose. Women have wedding planners so why can’t men have proposal planners? After all, it’s such an important time in someone’s life, so it needs to be perfect and stress free. We not only come up with personalied ideas, we can also arrange the whole proposal so all the guy has to worry about is saying those four famous words. Our website has attracted people from all around the world but I think most of our clients have come to us via word of mouth or after seeing us in the national press. Also, we help girls to drop the hint with our Hint Hint email service. Your boyfriends will be popping the question in no time after seeing our inspirational and subtle email.

Most guys come to us with a couple of months notice but we have had a few men ask for proposal advice and ideas the day before the planned proposal! This is not recommended but we love to be challenged and creating the perfect proposal in 24 hours is certainly a challenge. A lot of our clients are from overseas or UK residents that want to propose abroad, which we love, as it often means we get to travel abroad too.
When the client makes contact with us, we send them a consultation form which is designed to ask questions about their relationship. We do this so we can learn all about the couple. We can’t arrange their special moment if we don’t know what they like and dislike, so every effort goes into us getting to know them. We also meet the clients face to face if this is possible. We then present two proposal ideas incorporating all the things they love. Once the the idea has been chosen we then go about organising the whole thing; from researching venues to buying props. We have contacts all around the world so we can usually offer discounts, especially on the engagement ring itself. We know a thing or two about diamonds so we’re happy to go ring shopping to help pick out the ring, give advice and negotiate the price.

We never arrange the same proposal twice. All proposals are unique and tailored to each individuals relationship and therefore a great deal of creativity, time and passion goes into each one. One of our favorite proposals was an art gallery themed proposal because the girl in question loved art. She was quite quiet and therefore wouldn’t want to be proposed to in public so we arranged for a famous gallery to open early so the couple could have it all to themselves. When the couple had arrived the gallery was filled with new canvases with images relating to the couples happiness, as she walked around the room she noticed a big gold empty frame hanging from the celling. When she asked what it was for we told them it was an interactive piece and to look through it. We had a photographer on hand to take pictures and as the flash went the engagement ring swung down and dangled into the centre. The photographer captured the moment which they’ll keep forever.

90% of our clients are men, however we have helped a few ladies pop the question. And we’ve also helped organise a couple of same sex proposals. We’ve no yet had any celebrity clients, although there are some plans in the pipeline. We’re currently in talks with a TV show so this could possible happen soon – fingers crossed! We always get very random requests. One guy is proposing next week at exactly 9.17pm! Another guy is getting married in December but hadn’t proposed first and a very famous music company wanted us to help create a proposal related music video!

We have lots of exciting things in the pipeline and we can’t wait to share it with the world. As we’ve been gaining the trust of our clients we’ve also helped arrange weddings and anniversaries so this is something that we might branch out into. Plus we’re in talks with various TV channels; so who knows you might see us creating the most beautiful proposals which is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye. For more information on The Proposers contact info@theproposers.co.uk and visit www.theproposers.co.uk
